About The Position

Studio FLOW Yoga Instructors are Group Fitness Instructors who provide an exceptional yoga experience to Studio FLOW members. They are knowledgeable, motivating instructors who deliver an aspirational, results-driven yoga experience. Instructors create an inclusive and supportive environment, adapt instruction to members’ abilities and experience, and contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming fitness facility. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with a class rate of $30.00 per hour.

Requirements

• 0–1 year of yoga instruction experience.
• RYT 200/500 or comparable yoga certification.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Experience leading, communicating, coaching, teaching, or facilitating a group.
• General knowledge and experience creating yoga sequences for multiple experience levels.
• Strong multitasking skills.
• Passion for fitness, changing lives, and helping others reach their goals.
• Inclusive and positive attitude.
• Ability to promote an upbeat, enthusiastic, high-energy environment while coaching or instructing.
• Minimum local travel may be required for support, training, or other purposes as needed.
• Ability to meet the physical criteria of the format being instructed.
• Ability to communicate detailed or important instructions accurately and to interpret and relay instructions to clients.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of yoga instruction experience.
• Experience leading group fitness classes at a specialty studio.

Responsibilities

• Connect with members and recommend relevant VASA fitness products and amenities to meet their needs.
• Provide instruction tailored to individual fitness abilities and experience so members feel supported and included.
• Bring a unique personality to complement Studio FLOW class formats.
• Arrive punctually and prepared, prepare the room, and greet members on time.
• Demonstrate yoga postures and positions safely and accurately, and actively monitor members during class.
• Complete post-class cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing procedures to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Provide approachable, inclusive, engaging customer service and respond promptly to member needs and concerns.
• Invite and encourage non-Studio members at the club to attend Studio FLOW classes.
