About The Position

Engage Studios is seeking a Studio Engineer (exterior/interior) to act as a liaison between design and engineering within a studio environment. The role involves communicating design intentions to engineering teams, translating engineering and legislative requirements into design possibilities, and generating feasible solutions for complex technical areas. The Studio Engineer will manage and document agreements between design and engineering, ensure technical solutions align with the design direction, and document the feasibility of design themes. Responsibilities also include assisting in the setup of design clay models concerning dimensions like standing heights, wheel positions, and seating positions. The position is a long-term, full-time, on-site assignment with a client on the west coast of Sweden, who is a European research and development organization focused on next-generation vehicle architectures, digital technologies, and intelligent systems.

Requirements

Complete vehicle engineering knowledge for both interior and exterior.
Complete understanding of the vehicle development process.
Very good CATIA and Teamcenter experience (solid and surface; Teamcenter Author).
Technical university degree or equivalent, with +10 years solid working experience from the automotive industry.
Extensive automotive product concept and component engineering experience on aesthetically sensitive areas.
Understanding of engineering and validation processes for vehicle components and systems.
Working knowledge of component manufacturing, tooling requirements and lead times.
Available for on-site work on the west coast of Sweden, longterm full-time (100%).
Fluent English required.
Able to travel to China on occasion (must be able to obtain a Chinese visa).
Comfortable performing the work in a design studio environment.
