Concentric is seeking a Studio Director to join their team, embedded with a client in San Francisco, CA. This role is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and stewardship of Space Program, a privately funded artist residency. Space Program provides artists with space, resources, and time to create, fostering artistic collaboration and community engagement through curated residencies, exhibitions, educational initiatives, and public programming. The Director translates the Principals' vision into an exceptional artist experience, overseeing creative, operational, and organizational activities. This includes leading artist recruitment and engagement, residency planning, creative project development, exhibitions and public programming, community relationships, and day-to-day operations. The Director also serves as a creative mentor to resident artists and provides leadership to the Studio Manager & Print Technician. The position requires a thoughtful leader with creative leadership, exceptional organizational discipline, sound judgment, initiative, and a deep appreciation for stewardship. The role is structured as a flexible, part-time exempt leadership position, typically requiring an average commitment of approximately 30 hours per week, allowing the Director to maintain an active artistic practice. Success is measured by the quality of the resident experience, artistic outcomes, operational excellence, and the Director's ability to thoughtfully steward organizational capacity.
