The Studio Designer is responsible for producing flexible, comprehensive, multi-media designs for GAC customers and prospective clients with minimal supervision. This role involves working directly with customers to capture design requirements, executing concepts that facilitate on-time definition, and specifying all interior components while ensuring compliance with FAA and GAC contractual guidelines. The position requires strong communication skills to interact with high-profile clients and support the Principal Designer in presenting detailed concepts. The Studio Designer will also manage the status of production drawings, material selections, and product development, collaborating with engineering and production departments to meet delivery schedules. Travel, both domestic and international, is a requirement, sometimes on short notice. Maintaining client relationships, ensuring clear communication with internal departments and vendors, and archiving specification and design packages are key aspects of the role. The designer must possess knowledge of design trends, global cultural influences, and FAA regulations related to aircraft interiors, and execute material finish schedules and other required documentation.
