About The Position

This is an 8.5-week paid internship opportunity at Tombras, offering hands-on experience in studio design. The intern will be involved in creating and coordinating the production of final artwork, managing digital art files, and ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle. The role offers the chance to work on high-visibility clients alongside experienced professionals and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Requirements

  • Prior work or life experience in a relevant field
  • Currently enrolled as a Senior in a Bachelor’s program, or a recent graduate with a major in Design, Graphic Arts, Media, Marketing, Advertising, Portfolio School, or similar field (a degree is not required)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G-Suite in a Mac environment
  • Highly detail-oriented in work and communication
  • Ability to maintain timelines, prioritize, and organize work
  • Positive attitude and ability to work and succeed in a team environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Create and coordinate the production of final artwork including vector art manipulation and creative layouts
  • Coordinate the end-to-end process to ensure studio files are built accurately according to creative intent and vendor specifications
  • Work on high visibility clients and alongside Project Managers, Designers, and Creative Directors
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency around project requirements, scope, and deliverables
  • Ensure smooth movement of files and deliverables through the Studio Production team, with respect to deadlines, quality, and accuracy
  • Coordinate all art elements from various sources, including Art Director’s files, artwork from re-touchers, illustrators, copy from Writers, and printing specifications from Print Production and outside vendors
  • Build digital art files from all art elements including Art Director’s files and printing specifications
  • Prepare and check files for accuracy and correct file formats before submitting to team members
  • Continually meet and communicate with team members throughout a project to make additional changes and to receive new elements as the project progresses
