About The Position

Midtown exists to inspire people to become their best selves through the power of movement, connection, and belonging. Founded in 1970, Midtown has grown from one tennis club in Chicago to owning and operating eight luxury athletic clubs across the United States and Canada. In this role, you will strengthen the day-to-day operation of seven boutique studio concepts at Midtown. You will own essential administrative and coordination work - from daily participation reporting and substitute coverage to space walkthroughs and Instructor evaluation support – helping ensure Instructors are supported and studios remain stage-ready. Working closely with the Studio Manager, you will also gain hands-on experience in Instructor onboarding and development, upskills, events and member experience initiatives. This is an on-site role at a Midtown club location. It is an hourly coordination role reporting to the Studio Manager. Approximately 25 hours per week are dedicated to studio coordination responsibilities and up to 10 hours per week of teaching classes. This role supports the daily administrative and operational execution of all boutique studio concepts.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of group fitness, boutique fitness, hospitality, or related member-service experience.
  • Nationally recognized Group Fitness certification and current CPR/AED certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with instructors, members, and club leaders.
  • Passion for boutique fitness experiences and community-building.
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends and evolving fitness formats.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and validate studio participation data, maintain accurate records, and prepare reporting for analysis.
  • Coordinate substitute coverage and communicate schedule changes to ensure classes remain covered.
  • Conduct daily studio walkthroughs, address routine needs, and escalate equipment, cleanliness and audio-visual concerns.
  • Complete or assist with Instructor evaluations each month and coordinate follow-up with the Studio Manager.
  • Assist with instructor evaluations, coordinate follow-up, and support the delivery of upskills and workshops.
  • Help plan and execute studio events, activations, and surprise & delight experiences.
  • Support new Instructors through onboarding requirements, resources and studio standards.
  • Teach up to 10 classes per week, including substitute coverage, while modeling Midtown's coaching and member-experience standards.
  • Support the Studio Manager with team communications, administrative projects, and other studio priorities as needed.
