About The Position

The OHSU-PSU School of Public Health (SPH) is committed to addressing structural and institutional racism and centering social justice. This role provides broad support to students visiting the Student Success Center (SSC), including directing them to resources, answering general questions, and assisting with SSC equipment checkout. The position also involves supporting the Student Success Center's operations, such as restocking supplies, managing flyers, and light cleaning. Additionally, the role supports the 6th-floor front desk by greeting guests and directing inquiries, assists with School of Public Health events, and provides administrative support for reporting and projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours) or Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)
  • Student enrolled in a SPH program
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite and Google Suite required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide broad support to students visiting the Student Success Center (SSC), including directing them to resources, answering general questions, and assisting with the checkout of SSC equipment.
  • Provide support in the oversight of the Student Success Center (SSC) including: restocking warm beverage station and Wellness Wall, hanging & removing flyers, light cleaning, etc.
  • Support staffing for the 6th floor front desk. Duties include: greeting guests, directing phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from students, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with School of Public Health events including, but not limited to: SSC events and workshops, OHSU Commencement and Hooding Ceremony, PSU Commencement, Fall Welcome (orientation) for students, and other SPH celebrations, training sessions, and/or meetings.
  • Provide support, as needed, for school-wide reporting, projects and other administrative needs.
