The Student Food Service Worker works in a higher education setting, preparing and serving food according to the daily menu and recipe standards while engaging students, teachers, and parents in Genuine Foods’ mission. Requirements

• Be flexible and team-oriented.
• Have 1–3 years of food or customer service experience or training in a mid- to high-volume food service facility or restaurant.
• Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and level-headedness.
• Be punctual and adhere to the time and attendance policy.
• Be able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have an interest in and commitment to Genuine Foods’ mission of using food to help students enhance their minds, bodies, and happiness.
• Be able to work in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Make menu items according to recipes.
• Prepare raw foodstuffs for final cooking.
• Follow the Culinary Lead’s direction.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team.
• Cook and assemble menu items according to specifications.
• Stock and organize the kitchen area.
• Clean and maintain cooking utensils.
• Interact with scholars and teachers to provide excellent service.
• Maintain clean service areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Alert the Culinary Lead to workplace problems.
