About The Position

The County of Volusia is seeking Student Workers for the Deltona Regional Library in the Library Services Division. This position will be responsible for shelving library materials, checking books in and out and assisting with general library clerical duties. This position is temporary part time - 20 hours per week. Temporary positions are not benefit eligible. Candidate must be an active high school or college student. This position is posted on a continuous basis and may close without notice.

Requirements

Must be an active high school or college student, and at least 16 years of age.
College/University student must be currently enrolled full-time (Fall/Spring semester – minimum 12 credit hours or Summer semester - minimum 9 credit hours)
Must pass required background check.
Depending on assignment: Must possess a valid driver's license at time of appointment.
Must possess a valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of appointment and maintain thereafter.
Knowledge of basic techniques including shelving numerical sorting, and alphabetization.
Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Knowledge of basic customer service skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, volunteers, and the Public.
Ability to work under stressful conditions.
Ability to interact effectively with others.
Must be able to relocate to other county locations based upon operational needs.
