About The Position
The Nevada State Public Health Laboratory is seeking a temporary, reliable, and professional student worker to join our team to support daily laboratory operations by performing specimen transport to and from local hospitals and reference laboratories, and ensuring accurate receipt, entry, and reporting of sample data. This role also provides support with basic accounting functions.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
- Must have Valid Driver’s License
- Customer Service experience
- Data Entry; Typing at 45 to 60 WPM
- Dependable and detail-oriented
- Organization and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Data Entry
- Answer and direct phone calls and general inquiries
- Pick up samples from hospitals and reference labs
