About The Position
This position involves undergraduate research in Dr. Olga Makhlynets' lab within the Chemistry & Biochemistry department at Baylor University for Summer 2026. The role requires participation in laboratory research activities, adherence to safety procedures, and assistance with various research-related tasks including equipment maintenance, documentation, experiments, inventory management, data analysis, and report preparation. Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory research
- Participate in research activities
- Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed
- Research equipment maintenance and assist with maintaining lab equipment
- Assist with documentation associated with research projects
- Assist with or participate in carrying out experiments
- Assist with managing laboratory inventory or supplies
- Assist in preparing research reports
- Assist with analyzing data, testing, and interpreting results
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
