About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of residents by monitoring building access, addressing policy violations, reporting suspicious activity, and assisting emergency responders. The role also involves providing excellent customer service to residents and guests, managing front desk operations, and maintaining a clean workspace. Additionally, the student worker is expected to be social, engage with residents, and create a welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a student
  • Availability from May 17 to August 17
  • Ability to work 10-40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of residents: pay attention to who is coming and going, address policy violations, report suspicious behavior or people, assist emergency responders, and monitor fire and door alarm panels behind the desk
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests: Check residents in/out, assist with lockouts, check out resources, manage lost and found, manage packages, keep the front desk clean, answer questions
  • Be social: Look at people as they enter the building, smile, greet each individual person, engage people in conversation, ask residents about their day, learn names and facts about residents
