About The Position

This is a temporary position for the Summer of 2026. We are seeking 8 students from Junction City High School (JCHS) to serve as mentors and supervisors for incoming 9th-grade students participating in the Summer Bridge Program. The role involves assisting with the implementation of the summer bridge curriculum and actively participating in all program activities. The position requires students to be responsible, driven to learn and grow, and dedicated to supporting the program's success. The Junction City School District is committed to fostering a diverse staff that reflects its student body and community, and encourages applications from candidates of color and multilingual candidates.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Junction City High School.
• Willingness to be fingerprinted for a criminal history records check.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring and supervision to incoming 9th-grade students in the Summer Bridge Program.
• Assist with the implementation of the summer bridge curriculum.
• Participate in all activities of the week-long program.
• Take ownership of their assigned project and develop a project management plan, work breakdown structure, and schedule.
• Ensure all requirements and features requested for their project are understood and delivered on time.
• Adhere to attendance, timeliness, completion of work, and safe working practices as expected of high school workers.
