About The Position

The University of Nevada Reno is recruiting for two student workers to support Gabelli Ignite, a new startup launchpad program under the Mario J. Gabelli Innovations Program. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in program operations, marketing, event management, and student engagement while working closely with one of UNR's premier entrepreneurship initiatives.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled as a University of Nevada, Reno student
• Possess strong organizational and time-management skills
• Have excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Be comfortable interacting with students, faculty, and community members

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in customer service, student organizations, marketing, events, or administrative support is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the creation of marketing materials, including flyers, digital assets, and social media content with the Entrepreneurship & Innovation design team
• Distributing promotional materials throughout campus, including academic departments and high-traffic student locations
• Staffing information tables at outreach events, workshops, and information sessions
• Assisting with planning and execution of program events, including: Room setup and logistics, Signage preparation, Participant check-in, Vendor and catering coordination
• Supporting entrepreneurship-related campus events where Gabelli Ignite is represented
• Compiling participant lists and tracking program submissions
• Preparing materials for review by program evaluators
• Sending participant communications, reminders, and notifications using provided templates
• Providing general administrative and operational support for the program
