About The Position

In a student employee capacity, this role assists the Meyer Center (Social Services) director and other staff in day-to-day operations, including data entry on HMIS (Homeless Management Information System). The HMIS is a state-wide IT system used to collect client-level data and information on services provided to homeless individuals and families, and those at risk of homelessness, including the Meyer Center Health Clinic. The position involves direct contact with the homeless population.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and register clients in the HMIS Database, obtaining essential information including income, health status, housing, employment, etc.
  • Manage, assign, and supervise chores at the center for clients (e.g., cleaning, admin).
  • Assist Director with HMIS analytics for monthly reports and to support grant funding applications.
  • Schedule meetings for case workers, counselors, and program directors.
  • Obtain and analyze homeless utilization data from Health Clinic to support Center operations.
