The Student Worker – Art & Art History Front Office Assistant will provide broad administrative support for the Department of Art & Art History, working closely with the Administrative Manager. The Front Office Assistant should be dedicated, friendly, punctual, and organized. Responsibilities include representing the department positively as the first point of contact for all front office inquiries; directing students to the appropriate person, process, or resource. Making reservations and managing departmental calendars related to student and faculty activities. Organizing files and supplies, restocking materials, and ensuring the office remains clean and orderly. Sorting mail and packages, communicating delivery updates promptly and clearly, and resolving any related issues. Creating and updating departmental resources and documents. Collecting course schedule requests from faculty and assisting with schedule creation and verification. Performing other administrative tasks as needed. Greet visitors with excellent customer service. Provide general office, administrative, or clerical support. May assist with handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, including phone calls, messages, and mail. May assist with routing and resolving questions or information requests. May assist with document preparation, filing, and office records. Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information. May assist with office supplies and organization of common areas. May assist with data entry tasks, spreadsheets, and reports. Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission. Ability to comply with University policies. Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
