About The Position

Through the Baylor University Engagement Center (BUEC), students connect with Baylor alumni, parents, and friends on behalf of the University. Service as a Baylor University Advancement Ambassador (BUAA) ranges from providing a touchpoint to sharing a variety of engagement opportunities. Participants will gain experience in communication, fundraising/sales negotiations and networking that will be useful during and beyond their time at Baylor. The starting pay is $10/hour with opportunities for growth based on performance. We are now hiring ambassadors for a flexible, part-time schedule for the Spring 2026 & Summer 2026 semesters.

Requirements

• Have knowledge about Baylor University history, traditions and events
• Work at least three shifts per week
• Current Baylor undergraduate student (Graduate students that completed their undergraduate degree at Baylor may also be considered.)
• Provide a valid phone number for our team to contact you.
• Strong and effective interpersonal communications skills
• Ability to work under pressure and goal driven
• Self-motivated
• Ability to develop rapport and positive relationships with a variety of alumni, donors, and potential donors
• Provide marketing and communications support to assigned area of responsibility
• Assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to marketing and communications
• Support marketing and communications strategies and perform duties accordingly
• Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to comply with University policies
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Responsibilities

• Connect with Baylor alumni, parents and friends via phone call, text or video to check in and inform them about the great things happening at Baylor
• Discuss fundraising support for scholarships, research, and campus wide initiatives
• Inform the Baylor Family about upcoming events
• Thank individuals for their support, whether that be through giving or attending an event
• Update contact information of Baylor alumni, parents and friends
