Based in our Dayton, OH location, you will work in conjunction with product and research engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVAC/R systems. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions, we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering laboratories. We are seeking a 1st shift apprentice technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an HVAC Certificate or Associate Degree Program.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Basic mechanical, HVAC, and electrical/electronic skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Frequent lifting of average to heavy weight.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Follow experienced HVAC/R technicians in a state of the art facility.
  • Help maintain facility equipment and assist with all systems within.
  • Ideate with team members to find solutions to existing problems.
  • Assist with fabrication of prototypes and modifications of various projects.
  • Test hypothesis and review gathered data.
  • Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the facility.
