About The Position
Performs respiratory therapy treatments, procedures, and tests, including floor therapy, oxygen administration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and basic pulmonary function procedures. Works in the areas of the hospital as directed by the supervisor. Is able to evaluate and chart patient response to therapy. This position will not extend beyond participation in or graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Program
- Successfully completed Pharmacology Course
- MBRC Education Permit

Responsibilities
- Performs respiratory therapy treatments, procedures, and tests, including floor therapy, oxygen administration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and basic pulmonary function procedures.
- Works in the areas of the hospital as directed by the supervisor.
- Evaluates and charts patient response to therapy.
- Provides care as appropriate to age of population served.
- Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities.
- Assesses patients and provides patient care per protocol.
- Provides accurate and appropriate electronic documentation.
- Provides accurate and appropriate education to patients, students and new staff.
