About The Position

This position is for a Student Tech in Respiratory Care at CoxHealth South. The role involves performing respiratory therapy treatments, procedures, and tests, including floor therapy, oxygen administration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and basic pulmonary function procedures. The individual will work in various hospital areas as directed by their supervisor and will be responsible for evaluating and charting patient response to therapy. This position is intended for individuals currently participating in or graduating from an approved Respiratory Care Program.

Requirements

Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Program
Successfully completed Pharmacology Course
Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities.
Able to assess patients and provide patient care per protocol.
Provide accurate and appropriate electronic documentation.
Provide accurate and appropriate education to patients, students and new staff.

Responsibilities
