About The Position

Under the supervision of the Academic Achievement Office, Teaching Fellows will lead tutoring sessions and office hours for designated students. This position is limited to current CWSL students.

Responsibilities

  • Review or attend any required trainings required by Academic Achievement prior to the commencement of tutoring sessions.
  • Meet regularly with the professor to resolve questions regarding substantive law and otherwise structure tutoring in accordance with the professor’s coverage of the material.
  • Hold weekly Office Hours at designated time in person or utilizing Zoom, absent a rescheduling or otherwise approved tutoring plan by the Academic Achievement Department and the professor.
  • Record and post a Panopto Tutoring Session at least 24 hours before weekly Office Hours beginning the second week of classes, if approved by your professor.
  • Take virtual or in-person attendance of tutoring sessions and office hours. All attendance sheets must be turned into the Academic Achievement Department.
  • Post any handouts or materials to designated tutoring section’s Canvas page within 24 hours of the completion of tutoring session.
  • Post all handouts or materials and fully completed blanks or answer keys to all handouts or materials used in tutoring section to Canvas in a folder hidden from students.
  • Answer student questions through email and during designated Office Hours mutually agreed upon by the professor.
  • Complete a monthly reflection detailing coverage of the large group sessions.
  • Maintain an orderly folder within tutoring section’s Canvas page.
  • Report any problems immediately, in writing, to the Academic Achievement.
