About The Position

This is a part-time student job (maximum of 24 hours per week) for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU). The student will assist the instructor with the DSGN 464 - History of Interiors course during class time and hold one office hour each week for students, either in person or virtually. The pay rate for this position is $16.55 per hour.

Requirements

• Academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
• Meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
• Meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard (High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program; Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term; Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term; Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term; Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term)
• Applicants have completed the DSGN 464 - History of Interiors course
• Must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified
• Incumbents are required to self-report convictions
• Those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years
• OSU will conduct a review of the National Sex Offender Public website prior to hire

Responsibilities

• Assist instructor with DSGN 464 - History of Interiors course during class time
• Hold 1 office hour each week for students, in person or virtual
• Assist with creating weekly writing assignments for in-class discussion
• Assist with facilitating discussions with small groups of students during class time
