About The Position

The Student Teaching Assistant / Tutor will support faculty and students in the first and second terms of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program by facilitating student learning and maintaining a safe and respectful environment. This role is ideal for second year physical therapy students who wish to deepen their knowledge in anatomy and physiology while developing teaching and leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Current second year physical therapy student.
  • Successful completion of PTH 502 Human Gross Anatomy or PTH 706 Clinical Physiology in the first year of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomical structures and terminology.
  • Strong understanding of normal physiology and exercise physiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and peers.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and respect for confidentiality and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist faculty in teaching human anatomy.
  • Assist faculty in teaching human physiology.
  • Support student learning through one-on-one or small group instruction as needed.
  • Serve as a role model for professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in the academic setting.
