About The Position

Responsible for overseeing and enhancing programs aimed at supporting at-risk students and their families, supervising the alternative learning program, developing and managing dropout prevention initiatives, and engaging community resources. Serves as a key liaison between students, families, school staff, and community partners to ensure a cohesive and inclusive approach to student support and family engagement across Camden County Schools.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an educational or community service setting, with a focus on at-risk populations.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple programs and initiatives effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on collaborative and persuasive communication.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of the legal and practical aspects of Section 504 compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and build partnerships with community organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of programs including Alternative Learning, At Risk Student Programs, Dropout Prevention and Recovery, and Student Homebound Services.
  • Facilitate collaborations with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance engagement and resource availability for students and families.
  • Work with school leaders, teachers, and district administrators to integrate student support services and family engagement into broader educational goals and practices.
  • Identify grant opportunities and other funding sources to support program initiatives; oversee the application and management of grants related to student support and engagement.
  • Provide ongoing training and resources for school staff on effective strategies for working with at-risk students, and engaging families in the educational process.
  • Lead professional development workshops and informational sessions for parents and community members to foster understanding and cooperation.
  • Serve as the primary contact for families, educators, and community partners concerning student support programs.
  • Develop and maintain communication channels that promote transparency and collaboration between the school district and the community.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of supported programs and initiatives, using data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of program outcomes to district leadership and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Chief Auxiliary & Student Services Officer.
  • Serve as the primary contact for military families and connect military families to school and community resources.
  • Coordinate Purple Star activities and resources.
