About The Position

Barrett, The Honors College at ASU is the premier honors college in the country with a dynamic Student Services division known for individual attention and service to students. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our Student Engagement Leadership and will acquire a diverse set of skills to include, but is not limited to: Creating and establishing effective working relationships Creation, coordination and implementation of activities Management and supervision of student staff Ability to work independently and in teams Ability to organize resources and establish priorities Problem solving skills Working within a specified budget Decision-making and creative problem-solving skills Working collaboratively in a pan campus setting Position Salary: $45,000 per year IMPORTANT: All applications must include a cover letter, and a resume to be considered.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Continue to develop and enhance a strong cohesive residential community experience through Student Services signature programming and retention efforts
  • Create and implement student programming activities for both students living on and off campus including, but not limited to: wellness, academic, community service, social, cultural, inclusion, and college signature programs
  • Employ effective marketing and promotion strategies that maximize a student community experience
  • Work within a specified budget and maintain accurate documentation of expenditures
  • Participate and support signature Student Services and college events (Afternoon Tea, Gold Standard Awards, Tailgate, Homecoming, Family Weekend, etc.)
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate student programmers responsible for developing and implementing Barrett Student Services programming.
  • Support daily operations and coordinate programming within the Barrett Student Center.
  • Supervise and train student workers assigned to the Barrett Student Center.
  • Oversee operations of the Barrett Bucks Store, including ordering, tracking, and inventory management of merchandise.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on merchandise design requests.
  • Manage vendor relationships and purchasing processes in compliance with university procurement policies.
  • Plan, manage and serve as a chaperone on Barrett Travel programs, including marketing, event logistics, travel coordination, compliance with university and college business policies, and completion of all required forms and documentation.
  • Serve on relevant committees, including but not limited to ASU-wide cultural and heritage month committees, pan-campus Barrett Student Services committees, hiring committees, and the Barrett admissions committee
  • Provide regular reports and updates to Student Services leadership
  • Contribute content to the website and other social media outlets of the college
  • Maintain and establish relationships with other units, student organizations and external community groups
