About The Position
The Student Support and Activity Aide provides supervision, behavioral guidance, and engaging activities for students. Under the direction of site administration and/or program leadership, the aide creates and maintains safe, inclusive, and stimulating environments that foster positive student behavior, active participation in activities, and social-emotional development. The vacancy is at Pasadena High School, with various work times.
Requirements
- High school diploma and/or GED.
- Recent paid or unpaid experience involving organized activities with school-age children.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Current TB screening, renewed every four years.
- Ability to perform essential duties physically and mentally, with or without reasonable accommodation and without hazard to oneself or others.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform physically active tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in TK–12 school settings.
- CPR and first aid certification.
- Bilingual skills in another language.
