About The Position

Annapolis East Elementary School is seeking two Student Supervisors to provide general student supervision indoors and/or outdoors. This is a part-time position, working 1.00 hour per day for the 2026-2027 School Year. The wages are $21.21 per hour and are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU) Local 73 Bargaining Unit. This position is subject to the Annual Layoff/Recall Process as per Articles 29 & 30 of the NSGEU Local 73 Collective Agreement.

Requirements

• Develop and maintain positive rapport with students.
• Current CPR and First Aid training.
• Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and take initiative.
• Bona fide occupational requirements of the position, including physical ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for students before and after school, during the lunch and recess breaks.
• Familiarization of any medical or programs students may have (e.g. specific behaviour plans).
• Report to the principal or designate any problem or discipline issue that occurred during supervision.
• Other duties that are site specific (polices and protocol) and within the scope of responsibility of the position.
