Under immediate supervision, performs diagnostic cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology procedures as directed by physician and approved by instructor/preceptor. Assists in performing diagnostic, interventional and/or surgical procedures using a variety of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies, techniques and practices used in the invasive and/or non-invasive care setting. Prepares patient for procedure. Under immediate supervision, performs procedures using equipment technologies, techniques and practices associated with primary specialty for which the student is being trained in accordance with established clinical practice standards, guidelines and protocols. Maintains department records, reports and files. Orders and stocks all supplies and ensures procedure area is clean and ready for the next patient.
