This position serves as a Confidential Advocate within Student Services at Honolulu Community College. The specialist provides confidential advising and advocacy to students, faculty, and staff who report incidents of sex discrimination or gender-based violence. This role is a primary intake point and first line of support for individuals in crisis, involving assessments, clarifying needs, and facilitating connections to campus and community services. The specialist will also educate on discrimination policies, grievance processes, supportive measures, and safety planning. This is an 11-month temporary position with the possibility of conversion to permanent, funded by general funds and commencing approximately June 2026, pending necessary approvals.
