About The Position

The Student Services Coordinator is a key position within the Center for Student Involvement and is responsible for advising, training, and providing comprehensive support services to student organizations in the areas of organizational development and event management. The Services Coordinator will advise, guide, and supervise student staff in the daily operations of the multifunctional CSI Resource Center space. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with students and stakeholders to ensure that student services are accessible, effective, and aligned with university policies, while fostering a positive and inclusive environment. This position supports services for all affiliated student organizations as they build a flourishing community and develop professional career skills.

Requirements

  • Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
  • An Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR
  • Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience. College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Excellent writing and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse students, staff, and faculty.
  • Ability to prioritize and function effectively in a student-centered office environment where there can be noise and high activity.
  • Ability to plan and implement student trainings for a diverse audience.
  • Competency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Teams) and the willingness to learn new computer applications as needed.

  • Experience advising a student organization in an education setting.
  • Experience in event management tasks such as timeline development, marketing, budgeting, risk evaluation and assessment.
