About The Position

Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Under direct supervision, perform data entry including attendance, Public Education Information Management Systems (PEIMS) data, and discipline.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication skills
Ability to use computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing.
Proficient typing, keyboarding, file maintenance, 10-key skills
Ability to meet established deadlines
Data entry experience preferred

Responsibilities

Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy according to established procedures.
Keep up with student attendance by period and keep Assistant Principal informed on students leaving school.
Input student attendance daily on computer.
Keep accurate daily enrollment count for assigned campus.
Balance ADA Enrollment Report each six weeks.
Prepare and print reports, including attendance reports and end-of-semester reports.
Input student data for PEIMS.
Assist parents in checking student in and out of school.
Write out absentees, early dismissals, and late arrivals when needed.
Code notes and enter reasons for student absences on computer.
File absence notes.
Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff when needed.
Report all attendance problems to designated administrator.
Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
Provide clerical assistance as needed.
Assist in sending out progress reports each reporting period.
Assist with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc. when needed.
Sort and distribute computer printouts and update materials.
Maintain confidentiality of information.
Perform related duties as assigned.
