About The Position

1. Set up, initiate, and maintain oxygen therapy as prescribed
2. Set up and monitor non-invasive respiratory monitoring equipment
3. Perform bronchial hygiene procedures in accordance with department protocols
4. Assist with the administration of respiratory medications as ordered by
physicians
5. Perform routine respiratory therapy checks and document all care provided in
the patient’s medical record and electronic medical record (EMR)
6. Disassemble, clean, and prepare respiratory therapy equipment for
sterilization
7. Communicate relevant patient care information to physicians, nurses, and
respiratory therapy staff
8. Assist with oxygen initiation and follow-up care
9. Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control
guidelines
