Student Respiratory Therapist MRMC - Per Diem
About The Position
Under general supervision, the limited permit holder is expected to be able to perform all modes of Respiratory care as defined in the department policy and procedure manual. These tasks will include, but are not limited to, delivery of small volume nebulizers, drawing of arterial blood gases, maintaining artificial airways and mechanical ventilation. The therapist must be competent to deliver these therapies to all age groups ranging from perinatal to geriatric. Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care.
- Limited Permit Holder in the state of Massachusetts in respiratory care.
- Certification in basic life support.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
- Appropriately documents all care activity performed and charges in the hospital EMR system.
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities.
- Demonstrates competency in utilization and maintenance of arterial blood gas machines.
- Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of all mechanical ventilators.
