Strategic Engagement and Advocacy plays a central role in the identification, development and nurturing of strategic relationships with key external stakeholders across Canada. The department promotes the CMPA’s value proposition to external stakeholders, gathers intelligence to identify opportunities for CMPA to advocate on behalf of its members and develops mechanisms to create and support shared situational awareness of the stakeholder environment for all stakeholder engagers. Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Engagement and Advocacy Programs, the Strategic Engagement and Advocacy Student will complete environmental scans and literature reviews to support the team in identifying current trends and needs in the healthcare landscape to support the identification of key issues and engagement and advocacy opportunities. The incumbent will work closely with the Bilingual Health Policy Strategist to focus research and reporting on key topics.
