About The Position

The student researcher will conduct simulation experiments to generate statistical power and effect-size consistency profiles for many combinations of signal strength in simulated data, multivariate statistics, data-reduction methods, and amount of data reduction. These profiles will allow statistical power and consistency of various statistics to be evaluated over many different data analysis scenarios, which would be valuable for various scientific disciplines.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with R programming
  • A sound foundation in mathematics and statistics (at least five courses in math or statistics)
  • Students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year.
  • Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in statistical research
