About The Position

This position is for a Student Researcher to observe and learn techniques within a laboratory setting. The role involves assisting Laboratory Researchers with routine lab procedures, stocking and inventorying supplies, and performing clerical duties. The student will gain experience in data collection, equipment sterilization, preparation of laboratory solutions, and computer data entry.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience with basic laboratory equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Observe procedures and techniques unique to specific jobs and tasks.
Assist Laboratory Researchers with routine lab procedures such as data collection, sterilization of equipment and preparation of routine laboratory solutions.
Stock and inventory laboratory supplies.
Pick up and deliver materials and supplies.
Answer phones, screen calls, refer calls or messages, arrange appointments, greet visitors and perform associated clerical duties.
Enter data or perform related computer data entry.
