About The Position
The Student Research Assistant supports faculty-led research projects within the Sociology Department by assisting with data collection, organization, analysis, and reporting. This position provides hands-on experience in social science research methods while contributing to ongoing research initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on research projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data collection, entry, and organization.
- Support research design and methodology development.
- Conduct literature reviews and research-related tasks.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and research materials.
- Maintain accurate records of research data and project documentation.
- Follow established research protocols and ethical guidelines.
- Perform other research-related duties as assigned.
