About The Position

The student rehearsal director will run rehearsals and help “clean” the dance work along with the student dancers in the piece. Transferable skills provided by this position include: communication, collaboration, listening, leadership, problem solving, adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Dance experience beyond the beginning level in the genre of the piece being rehearsed
• The ability to demonstrate dance movement material accurately and clearly
• The ability to help students learn movement material during class
• Leadership and pedagogy skills to run rehearsals
• Interpersonal skills
• Be detailed oriented
• The ability to work independently with integrity
• Must have the rehearsal period free and attend all rehearsals
• Must be dependable, responsible, and punctual
