About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is now hiring a Part-Time / PRN Student Radiology Technologist for Center for Advanced Medicine located at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJH). This role is ideal for individuals currently studying radiology who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a leading academic medical center. The position offers a PRN Day Schedule, working as needed, with hours of operation from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. Students are required to work a minimum of two four-hour shifts per month but are welcome to work more, especially during Spring and Summer breaks. The role involves performing imaging procedures under supervision, assisting technologists, escorting and transporting patients, and aiding with patient transfers. The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is at the forefront of diagnostic radiology, pioneering advancements and performing a high volume of diagnostic imaging examinations annually.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
• Currently enrolled in a Radiology School Program
• No prior experience necessary —training provided!
• Must be currently enrolled in an imaging program.

• 2nd Year Radiology Student (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assists the technologist with imaging procedures.
• Students require direct supervision in surgery.
• Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.
• Assists outpatients with completing information necessary to the procedure.
