About The Position

This role is for a Student Radiologic Technologist at Community Medical Center, a leading healthcare system with 151 beds. The center offers adult and pediatric treatments and technology, along with medical specialties and certifications. Requirements

• High School Degree.
• Must be working on completion of a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology-Nuclear Medicine (verification from school is required).
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Must demonstrate an understanding of Patient Positioning, Radiopharmaceutical dosing, Radiation Safety, Imaging Equipment, Infection Control and Quality Control techniques.
• Presents a pleasant and helpful manner to patients, physicians, subordinates, and other members of the department staff.
• Assists in maintaining a work area free from hazards.
• The student radiologic technologist must perform routine diagnostic imaging studies, as needed.
• Ensures that patient examinations are performed in an accurate and timely manner based on dosing and test design.
• Provides accurate patient positioning, computer entries, and filming.
• Maintains an effective use of time, reports availability accordingly
