About The Position

Under the guidance and direction of a radiographer, performs diagnostic medical radiographics.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a radiology program.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations using C-arms, portable and stationary radiographic imaging equipment.
• Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.
• Transports patients to radiographic room; prepares and maintains room.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis.
• Maintains x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts outside service for major malfunctions.
• Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
• Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, Inservice meetings and workshops.
• Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, etc.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Understands scope of limitations.
• Requests supervisory assistance when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
