About The Position

Operation Smile Student Programs is looking for a creative and collaborative Production Intern to help prepare and publish engaging multimedia content for their social media networks and website. The intern will create content for both print and web, tailoring graphics for various platforms and meeting deadlines. This internship offers the opportunity to see work shared globally, build a portfolio, analyze social media data, improve communication and time management skills, and learn in a fast-paced media environment.

Requirements

• Attendance at an accredited university working towards a degree in communication or graphic arts.
• Third or Fourth year of college.
• Advanced writing skills
• video editing
• social media management
• Experienced using Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, Canva

Nice To Haves

• Previous involvement with Operation Smile preferred
• Has experience working in content-driven environment, such as a school newspaper or yearbook
• Keen eye for creative and engaging design
• Ability to create while complying with overall brand guidelines
• Savvy user of social media and digital platforms
• Multimedia skills – including photography and videography – a plus
• Must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and well organized

Responsibilities

• Interview relevant audience members for comment around Operation Smile and Student Programs initiatives and events
• Creates digital graphics for use across social media platforms and the Student Programs website
• Creates print graphics for use on T-shirts, notebooks and other materials as needed
• Paginates toolkits and reports that will serve as print- and digital-friendly guides for Student Programs volunteers
• Manages Box file system of Student Programs multimedia assets
• Additional duties as necessary or assigned
