About The Position
Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the Student Nurse Technician performs the primary function of assessing, planning, implementing, educating, prioritizing, delegating, and evaluating care for a designated group of patients in accordance with established Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies. The role is responsible for managing assigned personal supplies and unit equipment, promoting teamwork with members of the healthcare team, and performing duties consistently with St. Luke’s mission and values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
- Completed first clinical rotation.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, educate, prioritize, delegate, and evaluate care for a designated group of patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Manage assigned personal supplies and equipment on the unit.
- Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.
- Perform duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
