About The Position

This role is for a Student Nurse Intern in the Emergency Department. The intern will deliver compassionate, direct patient care under RN supervision, ensuring every individual’s daily needs and comfort are met with dignity. They will monitor and track vital signs and patient responses to provide the clinical team with real-time data necessary for safe, effective interventions. The intern will document the patient’s journey and clinical observations accurately to maintain high-quality medical records and seamless care transitions. They will collaborate with their preceptor to refine care plans, using their frontline observations to help shape the best possible outcomes for patients. Additionally, the intern will perform other tasks as assigned, including preparing/transporting patients for diagnostics and supporting a clean, safe healing environment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma/GED required.
Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer.
Must be enrolled in Registered Nurse program.
