About The Position

The Extern I completes work in accordance with standards of the specific environment under the direct supervision of the RN or Clinical Manager. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center. The Extern I is required to provide an excellent patient experience consistent with Relationship-Based Care. Follows established policy and procedures as directed. Performs all job duties in a safe manner with respect to safety and to self and others. Equipment and supplies maintained, monitored, and malfunctions reported to manager. Uses time management and flexibility in organizing and prioritizing workload to provide optimal service to the department and network. Accountable for performing and providing quality patient care in the specific environment. Effectively performs direct patient care tasks to assist licensed personnel.
