About The Position

The Student Nurse Apprenticeship Program (SNAP) is an early workforce recruitment initiative offered by Sentara RMH Medical Center for senior nursing students completing their last two semesters of an accredited nursing program. SNAP provides aspiring nurses unique opportunities to work with a nurse mentor on a designated nursing department in addition to eight shadow experiences in departments of choice.

Requirements

  • Current Nursing student within 2 semesters of graduation

Responsibilities

  • Work with a nurse mentor on a designated nursing department.
  • Complete eight shadow experiences in departments of choice.
  • Work two 12-hour shifts with your mentor each week.
  • Complete one 8-hour shadow experience each week.
