About The Position

The Student Life office is looking for a responsible Student Life Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Office Assistant include providing support to the Student Life department, overseeing the Campus Food Pantry, assisting in daily office needs and managing our departmental general administrative activities, programs and events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Administrative Assistant or Office Assistant experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

  • associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the Campus Food Pantry and Grab and Go Stations.
  • Coordinate the SNAP coach program.
  • Interface with students, faculty, and staff and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
  • Develop and maintain filing system.
  • Order supplies and conduct office inventories.
  • Maintain contact lists and initiate timely follow up.
  • Update information in Cecil Connect, Colleague and Cecil College website.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to assist with publications and social media platforms
  • Assist with facilitating student life activities, programs and events, including set up and clean up.
  • Other duties as assigned.
