About The Position

Federal Work Study eligibility is strongly preferred for this student position. The role begins as soon as agreed upon for the semester and ends on a determined basis. A maximum of 10-12 hours per week is allowed, with an hourly pay rate of $12. The library operates Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, and evening and weekend shifts are not available. Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University is required. While this position is open to all applicants, Federal Work Study eligibility is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Federal Work Study eligibility (strongly preferred)
  • No more than 20 hours per week is allowed for all combined student positions
  • Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University required
  • Experience with Microsoft 365
  • Attention to detail and reliability
  • Cover letter with information about your work-study funding for the semester/year

Responsibilities

  • Processing newly acquired titles for the library collection
  • Handling incoming newspapers and journal issues
  • Packing and unpacking library materials
  • Preparing items for commercial binding
  • Verifying access to electronic resources
  • Assisting with various departmental projects
