About The Position

This recruitment is being conducted to fill part-time Student Law Clerk positions with the District Attorney's Office. NOW ACCEPTING APPLICANTS FOR THE FOLLOWING SEMESTERS: FALL 2026 AND AFTER. A background investigation and a pre-employment drug screening must be successfully completed prior to employment. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of an application. Requirements

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of legal research methods
  • Knowledge of preparation of briefs and opinions
  • Knowledge of the principles of law and their application
  • Ability to analyze and apply legal principles, facts, evidence, and precedence to legal problems
  • Ability to learn to present statements of law, fact, and argument clearly and logically in written and oral form
  • Ability to perform research and assist in the preparation of legal opinions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
