About The Position

This is an entry level seasonal, afternoon shift position with opportunity to advance based on business need. The Floater/Topper works on the packaging line most of the season. You will be part of the team that ensures produce levels meet quality standards in jars. There are a variety of other tasks you may be assigned to throughout the season. These Tasks include sorting and packaging produce, product rework, quality assurance or outside feed. You will report to the topping lead and production lead. The season runs April to December. As we are a unionized facility, you will obtain seniority after 30 days and have recall rights each year. If you decide to grow your career, we will provide you a path to advancement if you so choose, including permanent production positions. A day in the life of a floater Observe standard work instructions. Rework damaged product. Ensure all documentation is completed following Safe Quality Foods (SQF) standards. Demonstrate willingness to take on additional responsibilities. Understand and support our quality and environmental mission Recognize any foreign or defective materials or products and report findings. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Inspect workstation(s) to ensure all equipment is in safe working condition. Follow safe work practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Job assignment can include outdoor work.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Ability to wear long pants, short sleeve shirt & shoe that covers your foot.
  • Ability to return year over year while pursuing educational goals.
